The Perturbative and Nonperturbative Conformal Window
In the past decade many advances have been made in the attempt to uncover the phase diagram of nonsupersymmetric gauge theories. Progress has come from both analytic computations as well as lattice simulations. In this talk I will present the most recent calculations and estimates of the phase boundary of the conformal window performed using both higher order perturbation theory as well as nonperturbative constraints stemming from large N equivalences.
I will finally discuss how knowledge of the conformal window can be used to construct viable BSM strongly interacting models able to break the electroweak symmetry.
