Towards consistent approaches for nuclear structure and reactions
The description of nuclear structure and reactions carried out in a basis of elementary modes of excitation determined making use of the paradigm of spontaneous symmetry breaking restoration and characterized
by emergent properties like generalized rigidity,resulting from their interweaving through the particle-vibration and particle-recoil coupling mechanisms,can be formulated in terms of an effective nuclear field
theory (NFT).Its implementation in connection with central issues of structure and reactions ( NFT (s+r)) will be discussed together with predictions of novel modes of excitation and open problems.
