Sign structures of generalised susceptibilities in QCD like models
The (2+1) Polyakov Quark Meson model is studied at non-zero values of the chemical potential. We compute certain susceptibilities upto sixth order of the conserved charges on the $\mu_B-T$ plane. By varying the mass of the sigma meson, we are able to study and compare phase diagrams with as well as without a critical point. We identify certain cumulants associated with the correlations between the baryon and strangeness charges that undergo a change of sign associated with the critical point alone. Measurements of such quantities at the heavy ion collision experiments can throw light on the existence and location of the QCD critical point.
