Call for the award of one post-doctoral fellowship in the field of theoretical physics
The Italian Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) offers a one year post-doctoral fellowship (assegno di ricerca) starting in the Fall of 2018 and renewable for a second year, for research activity to be carried on at TIFPA (Trento Institute for Fundamental Physics and Applications) and based at ECT* (European Centre for Theoretical studies in nuclear physics and related areas) on the following subject:
“Multimessenger Aspects of Neutron Star Mergers”.

The annual gross salary is Euros 29.471,88, which will be supplied in monthly instalments. In addition, lunch tickets will be provided for working days. The successful candidate relocating to Trento from another housing district is eligible to receive a transfer and removal lump sum of Euros 5.000.
Applications are accepted from candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Ph.D. or equivalent academic qualification in physics;
- at least 30 months of post-graduate track record in physics research activities, of which at least 24 months as Ph.D. student.
Individuals holding a permanent position at INFN at time of application are ineligible to apply. The research grant cannot be awarded to any candidate who has already received a post-doctoral research grant from an Italian Institution for a period of four years, including renewals. If the successful applicant has benefited of a post-doctoral research grants from an Italian Institution for a period shorter than four years, the research grant is awarded for the remaining period.
